How the Check-In works

At the interval you choose, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or quarterly, Down Under Vault sends you a simple email. One tap to confirm you're well.

You respond

Click the link in the message. That is it. Your vault stays private, your timer resets, and the next Check-In is scheduled. Takes less than five seconds.

If you do not respond

The system does not panic. It follows a careful, multi-step escalation over 14 days, giving you every opportunity to respond before anything happens.

Initial Check-In

You receive your scheduled Check-In by email. A single link to confirm you're well.

Day 3

First reminder

A gentle reminder by email. Maybe you missed the notification, maybe you were busy. No urgency yet.

Day 7

Warning notification

A clearer message letting you know that your vault will be released if you do not respond. Still plenty of time.

Day 10

Final warning

The last reminder before release. Sent by email, and worded so it is unmistakable.

Day 14

Vault released

Your nominated people receive secure, read-only access to the information you assigned to them. Each person only sees what you chose to share.

This is the default timeline. You can customise both your Check-In interval and your grace period to suit your situation.

Weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or quarterly; set a Check-In interval that fits your life.

Pause when travelling

Going on holiday or having surgery? Pause Check-Ins for 30, 60, or 90 days. They resume automatically.

Control who sees what

Assign specific vault items to specific people. Your partner sees financial records, your executor sees estate documents. You decide.

Revoke at any time

Changed your mind? Revoke access, update your nominees, or disable Check-Ins entirely. Your vault, your rules.

24-hour grace period

Even after the escalation completes, there is a final 24-hour window before access is granted. Respond during this time and the release is cancelled.

Recover after release

If your vault was released but you are fine, you can reclaim it. Log in, revoke access, and everything goes back to private.

Most people don't plan for what happens after they die. And the ones who do often leave the plan in a place nobody can find.
