What we do
Down Under Vault is one secure place for every important document, account, and instruction in an Australian adult life. A periodic Check-In confirms you're well — if you die or can't respond, your vault is released to the people you've nominated. We're built for the moments your family will struggle most with, and designed to make those moments dramatically less awful.
How we make money
The Free tier is genuinely free, forever. Premium (from $7/month) and Family (from $10/month) cover unlimited items, file attachments, the planning guides, and household plans. That's the entire commercial model. We do not run ads. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. We do not run any third-party tracking or analytics scripts. The only people we answer to are our paying customers and the Free users we hope will become them.
Where we store your data
All vault data is stored in AWS's Sydney region (ap-southeast-2). Your information is governed by the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and stays within Australia. Notifications are sent through our email and SMS providers, in line with the Australian Spam Act 2003.
How we speak
We use plain language about death, capacity, executors, probate, and intestacy. Australian English throughout. No euphemism in the depth pages — because the people working through these things deserve to be spoken to like adults, not handled with kid gloves. We will gloss the legal terms the first time they appear, then trust you with them after that.

We're assembling a small advisory board of Australian solicitors, financial advisers, and aged-care specialists to keep the product honest and clinically grounded. Names and credentials will be published here once arrangements are confirmed.
